Top Ten Tuesday: Freebie Week

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and the Bookish. This Tuesday has no specific topic, it’s a freebie week! Since I get to pick the topic, here are ten of my favourite quotes.

1

“What are you doing to me, you plague of a girl?” he whispered.
“If I’m a plague, then you should keep your distance, unless you plan on being destroyed.” The weapons still in her grasp, she shoved against his chest.
“No.” His hands dropped to her waist. “Destroy me.”
Renee Ahdieh, The Wrath & the Dawn

2

“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

3

“So you keep your ocean, I’ll take the Lake.”
Colleen Hoover, Slammed

4

“Here’s to books, the cheapest vacation you can buy.”
Charlaine Harris

5

“But you can’t kill me, Lord Tyrant. I represent that one thing you’ve never been able to kill, no matter how hard you try. I am hope.”
Brandon Sanderson, The Final Empire

6

“A DEFINITION NOT FOUND IN THE DICTIONARY
Not leaving: an act of trust and love, often deciphered by children”
Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

7

“Marriage can wait, education cannot.”
Khaled Hosseini, A Thousand Splendid Suns

8

“I could never trust anyone who’s well adjusted to a sick society.”
Andrea Gibson

9

“Knowledge, like air, is vital to life. Like air, no one should be denied it.”
Alan Moore, V for Vendetta

10

“when things break, it’s not the actual breaking that prevents them from getting back together again. it’s because a little piece gets lost — the two remaining ends couldn’t fit together even if they wanted to. the whole shape has changed.”
David Levithan, Will Grayson, Will Grayson

  1. I’m not really one to remember quotes, the only one in this list I remember is the Harry Potter one, despite having read a few of these books. Love the Will Grayson, Will Grayson one. It’s hauntingly sad.
