Down the TBR Hole #7

Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia at Lost in a Story where we decide whether to keep or remove books on our TBR.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

I got this for an essay I had to write on Vietnam. I had removed it from my TBR, but put it back on a few years ago.

Synopsis snippet: When long-hidden secrets about the atrocities he committed in Vietnam come to light, a candidate for the U.S. Senate retreats with his wife to a lakeside cabin in northern Minnesota. Within days of their arrival, his wife mysteriously vanishes into the watery wilderness.

Hitler’s Empire: How the Nazis Ruled Europe
by Mark Mazower

This is another book I bought for an essay I wrote. I read some of the book, but not all of it.

This book is over 760 pages, and it really intimidates me, but I’m gonna read it eventually!

This is the first book in an incredibly popular fantasy series. I’ve heard so many great things (and that the pacing is painfully slow, but worth it).

It sounds awesome, and has humans bonding with animals. I’m really afraid I’ll hate this.

This is a retelling of Twelve Dancing Princesses, which was one of my all time favorite books growing up, so of course I’m going to read it.

I somehow misplaced my picture book, and I can’t find that exact edition ANYWHERE online. I’m so sad!

This is described as Die Hard with faeries, and a rich genius kid. I wish I had read this series as a kid.
